Shanna

Shanna will share some of her awesome card making skills with us, and hopefully a few LOs too!

I started 'scrapping' around 2003 and have been addicted ever since. I love to draw sketches and do all things crafty, especially cards and alter items! I live in Arkansas with my husband of 7 years and my 2 year old twin boys. I work full time away from the home so my 'scrap time' is precious whenever I can squeeze it in! I recently decided to become a Stampin'Up!Independent Demonstrator and am enjoying every minute of it so far!

Cortney

Hi! My name is Cortney and I am a stay at home mom living in Michigan with my husband, our son, two dogs, and two cats. I have been scrapping since my son was born in the summer of 2006 and what started as a means of recording our new family activities quickly became a matter of artistic exploration for me. Scrapping is now among my favorite hobbies, alongside cooking, reading, and running, and an attempt to learn photography.

Katie

I've been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 7 years, and we have two beautiful boys who give me a lot to scrap about. I remember working on scrapbook pages as a small child with my mom. Although my days of using construction paper and Crayola markers to create a page have been traded in for more sophisticated techniques and products, my love for expressing myself creatively through paper remains the same. I am a chick who loves to incorporate flowers, bling, lots of color, and fun ribbons into my boy layouts.

Day

My name is Day. I live in beautiful BC with my husband and our three children. I've always been a crafty creating sort of person, but I discovered scrapping after my daughter was born and I had to do something with the million pictures I was taking! I have never looked back! It's my me time, my solace, my creative outlet, and makes a pretty cool record of my children growing up to boot! What's not to love!

Angel

I have been scrapbooking off and on for years but really became addicted after the birth of my second son. It is my creative outlet and much needed me time. I live in Midwestern, Ontario with my husband and 2 boys.

Mandie

My name is Mandie Dillard and I began scrapbooking 2 years ago. I have always been a crafty person loving to needlepoint, sew, paint etc. but really discovered my creative outlet through scrapbooking. I am a SAHM to Faith, 5 years old and Drew, 2 years old. My wonderful husband, Scott is very supportive of my addiction! I teach classes at CKC, Scrapbook Expo and Scrapbook America. I have been published in Scrapbook News & Reviews and on various challenge blogs.

Lydia

I am Lydia, a mostly a stay at home Mom, I have two fantastic little boys, Tannin who is 3 and Levi who is 14 months. I started Scrapbooking 11 years ago and have never looked back, this is one career choice the guidance counsellors in high school never told me about. I am a women who rarely sleeps, other than that I think that I am well balanced, I play softball, dodgeball, I love to read and design. I am married to a great guy, who loves me and accepts and encourages my passion for scrapbooking. For me this is the life.

Lucy

I'm a Brit living in Silicon Valley, a Mom to 2 of the best little people you could wish for (Ben aged 5 1/2 and 21 month old Jonathan) and wife to a wonderful husband. I started scrapping when Ben was about 10 months old - and since then it has become an obsession, a stress reliever and a great way to meet new friends.
I scrap everyday moments, conversations - with the odd birthday and Christmas thrown in.

Erica

I'm Erica, I fell in love with scrapping in 1997 when on of my college BFF showed me her scrapbooks. I was hooked at first sight! Since then, I have become head over heals for all things scrappy. My one true love is pattern paper. But, I do love ribbon alot too. I reside in beautiful south Texas with my husband of 10 years. We have 3 wonderful little girls. I am also a Kindergarten teacher. SO needless to say, I am very busy, but find time to squeeze in scrapping every chance I get!

Christine

After 13 years in the fast-paced corporate world of IT and Oil & Gas, Christine decided to give it all up to stay home with her son and open her business Hoodoo Designs in 2008. Christine has been scrapbooking since 2002. Her first album was of her wedding, but her passion really took off upon the birth of her son Liam in 2005. Christine lives in Airdrie AB with her 3 year old son Liam and her "very supportive of her scrapping addiction" husband of 6 years, Jason.

"Scrapbooking is my journal to Liam. I wanted to make sure he had more in his baby book then his name, which is all that is in mine!"

Ashley

Hi my name is Ashley and I'm a SAHM to two boys ages 4 and 2 with another boy on the way in June. I began scrapping after my oldest son was born in 2004. I love creating layouts to document our family memories.

Submitting your LOs

If you have done one of our challenges we want to see it! LOs, digital LOs, cards, altered items, mini albums... all welcome! We want to see how we inspired YOU! Post a comment with a link to your project and at the end of each month I will collect all the pictures and put them in a slideshow to display on the blog during the following month!
Also, there will be the occasional random prize draw from all those who posted their link in a comment (after each draw we will start from scratch drawing from only new entries for the subsequent prize). If you want to be entered in the contest, but don't want your LO in the slideshow, just mention that in your comment and I will comply :)
If you have any questions please ask here, or email me at dailyinspirations @ ymail.com (without the spaces)
Thanks for playing along!

Welcome to our new adventure!

Welcome everyone to the new Daily Inspirations blog!
I love kick starting my creativity with a challenge, but I am always having to hunt them down, so here we will post a new challenge each day, with a bit of a twist. As I'm a mom of two little children with not enough time to run anything too complicated, and many of my dt members are in the same position, we are going to keep this blog casual and low key. The only thing I promise is a new challenge posted each day. I might link to a challenge on another blog, paste something from a message board, or come up with a sketch or some other challenge all on my own. There may even be the occasional prize to be had. The DT will be given a lot of leeway to create pages for whichever challenges they'd like, and are only committed to each making one LO a month for us, although we'd be happy to see more too! We also have a very talented card designer on the team so expect to see some awesome cards here and there too. In short, we will keep you guessing! We aim to have fun, be inspired, and share our wonderful work with each other!! We hope you'll join us!
