A green sketch challenge

So before I get to the challenge, you may have noticed a couple of images missing around here. My photobucket account seems to have vanished into thin air. I am working on getting everything back up, but until then I just wanted to let you know what is up.

So today I'm linking you to another of my favorite sites (and only in part because I design the sketches ;) ) It is an awesome blog called Mix It Up and the multi talented Melanie Blackburn posts a new challenge each week paired with an optional sketch. Sponsors provide a prize each month and everyone who enters their LO is in the drawing. Very cool blog! This week's challenge is all about going green - specifically reusing. Here is what Melanie wrote...

Mixer #9 Details:
This week’s mixer is a recycle challenge. Being green and conscientious of our consumption and how it affects the planet is a very hot topic right now, therefore we challenge you to use a recycled item on your layout. The DT will give you some great ideas on what you can recycle and use on a layout. They have again this week exceed all expectations and created gorgeous layouts. Thanks girls!!!

Day has provided a wonderful sketch to kick start your creativity if you need too; however, it is not mandatory to use the sketch to complete the Mixer.

So check out Mix it up and if you do this challenge you can enter it on that blog and on here and have double the chance at a prize! Details here

  3. I used several recycled items for this one- actually everything but the tag is either a scrap or found item from around the house!
